“WorldSkillsKazakhmys-2022"

On April 20 and 21, the II Corporate Championship of Professional Skills "WorldSkillsKazakhmys-2022" will be held in Balkhash. The curator of the championship is a private institution "Polytechnic College of Kazakhmys Corporation". The competition is designed to increase the prestige of working professions, demonstrate the importance of professional skills and contribute to the development of the personnel training system. This is exactly what President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in his speech, urging not to complain about the lack of qualified personnel, but to take matters into our own hands.

This is not the first or even the second competition under the brand "WorldSkills", in which employees of "Kazakhmys" take part. In October 2018, employees of LLP "Kazakhmys Holding" took part in the WORLDSKILLS HI-TECH in Yekaterinburg, taking several prizes. Also, in February 2020, the First corporate championship of professional skills "WorldSkillsKazakhmys 2020" was organized on the basis of companies stationed in the Balkhash region.

The competition will be attended by young specialists of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP and students of the corporation's colleges located in the cities of Balkhash and Satpayev. Total – 56 people.

Competitions in the competencies "Welding", "Plumbing" and "Electrical installation" will be held on the basis of a small procurement site of the repair and mechanical specialized management of "Balkhashtsvetmet". And the participants of the competitions in the competencies "Labor Protection" and "Graphic Design" will demonstrate their skills at the Polytechnic College.

For the purpose of professional orientation of young people, the Championship will be attended by school students, college students, representatives of government agencies, employees of enterprises and teachers of technical and vocational education organizations, as well as other interested parties.
