Total copper cathode equivalent produced in the first half of 2016 by Kazakhmys Corporation LLC is 111.6 thousand tons. This figure rose by 8.3 thousand tons (+8%) over the corresponding period of the last year.
The average copper grade achieved during the first half of the year rose to 0.94%, from 0.88% achieved during the corresponding period in 2015 — 4% more than was originally planned.
In total the concentrators of Kazakhmys processed 14.8 million tons of ore in the first half of 2016.
This year the Company plans to produce 224.4 thousand tons of copper cathode equivalent.
“The current situation on the world metal market is relatively stable. Although copper price is not increasing visibly, it is kept in the range of $4500- 4900 per ton. All of our major facilities have been working successfully during the first half of 2016 resulting in the plan implementation. Industrial safety activities have been enhanced.
