The Zhezkazgan Copper Smelter is part of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP, a copper smelter of Kazakhmys, one of the largest copper producers in the world. Zhezkazgan Copper Smelting Plant is a modern enterprise with a high completeness of raw materials and includes copper smelting, copper electrolyte and sulfuric acid production.
The plant is constantly working to improve working conditions and technological processes. At the end of 2018, the second ore-thermal furnace was put into operation at the enterprise, which made it possible to return to the plant's design capacity of up to 200 thousand tons of cathode copper per year and employ 600 new employees. Today, plant employs about 2,100 people.

For half a century, more than one generation of metallurgists has changed at the copper smelter: 18 labor dynasties, numerous honorary metallurgists, production leaders, promising youth - all this is the main wealth of the plant, people who create the history of the enterprise by their labor.
