Yergaly elemesov is a representative of the famous Elemesov dynasty. For several generations, this family has been working in various structural divisions of the Balkhash production site.
As a boy, in 1998, his mother, Batima, who then worked in the crane service of the shop, brought him to the charge preparation shop of the Balkhash copper smelter.
Ergaly's working days began with a working profession - with a crane service locksmith. Then, a year later, he transferred to the concentrators-a filter operator in the filter section of the concentrator factory. He was able to demonstrate great organizational skills and qualities such as thoroughness, conscientious attitude to his work and a great desire to learn the basics of the entire site. Noticing great potential in him, the management of the site and the factory began to move him up the career ladder. He became a foreman, then a senior foreman, then he became the head of the filtration section itself. During his work in the production, he managed to add a metallurgical engineer to the diploma of a metallurgical technician of the Balkhash mining and metallurgical technical school - he graduated from the Karaganda State Technical University.
Ergaly Elemesov, together with his team, witnessed many reconstruction and restructuring of the entire production. In 2018, the filtering section was combined with a shop for processing converter slag, thickening and filtration of the Balkhash concentration plant of "Balkhashtsvetmet" of the Mining and processing complex of Corporation Kazakhmys LLP. Ergaly Abdagalykovich was appointed head of the workshop. Now, our hero is one of the most experienced specialists in the enrichment business. But, he believes that his older comrades, Platon Kaskin and Talgat Zhainabekov, played a big role in his formation as a specialist, who managed to instill in him a love for their future profession. Currently, under the leadership of Ergaly Yelemesov, more than 100 people work - these are crushers, mill operators, thickener apparatuses, filter makers. During the day, the work collective of this shop, headed by their chief, process up to 950-1000 tons of converter slag, which, in the future, makes its way to metallurgists, to the Balkhash copper smelter of Kazakhmys Smelting LLP.
We also contribute to the production of marketable products - the famous Balkhash copper. In every ton of blister and cathode copper there is also a particle of the soul of the enrichers, - Yergaly Yelemesov said with a smile at parting.
