Andrey Vladimirovich Zorin, the chief power engineer of the Sayak mine, is one of these employees who has 27 years of experience in the energy sector.
In 1993, Andrey Zorin came to work in the Sayak-I quarry of the Sayak mine as an electrician for repairing equipment of the 3rd category. Over the course of a year, showing his abilities and efforts, he worked and developed, gradually increasing the discharge of the underground electrician: first from the third to the fourth, then from the fourth to the fifth.
While working at the mine, he managed to study at the Balkhash Humanitarian and Technical College and received a diploma in electrical engineering.
During his work at the quarry, Andrei Vladimirovich and his colleagues ensured the good condition of the serviced devices, the correct operation of equipment throughout the Sayak-I quarry - and soon, Andrei Zorin, was transferred to another area - to the Tastau quarry, acting as the chief power engineer.
His personal qualities and work experience did not go unnoticed – he was directed exactly to the place where it is necessary to fix something and put the work on a high level. Andrey Vladimirovich walked the length and breadth of the entire Sayak mine - he worked in all areas - an energy engineer of the mine surface maintenance section, an electromechanic of Sayak-I mine, an energy engineer of Sayak-III mine, then he became deputy chief power engineer of the mine, and in 2007, he was appointed chief power engineer of the Sayak mine. For 13 years now, he has been leading this troubled but necessary service at the company. Wherever Andrey Vladimirovich Zorin worked, he always provided high quality work. Strictly followed and monitors the compliance of employees with the rules of industrial safety and labor protection, because working with electricity, any mistake can be very expensive.
Among other things, Andrey Zorin is also a mentor for young employees. Currently, his students and colleagues-Rinat Agylshanov, Abylai Tokenov, Nikolai Starichenkov – work at the mine sites, they masterfully cope with the tasks set in production – this is an uninterrupted supply of electricity to the entire enterprise.
The mine's electrical facilities are very extensive: it consists of 17 substations, about 6 km of internal barrier lines, and about 8 km of internal cable lines. Operational switching, moving supports, working with high-voltage equipment-all this is carried out by employees of the mine's energy service. Therefore, all employees of the service (which is more than 80 people) are high – level specialists who have a large baggage of special knowledge.
