KAZAKHMYS HAS SUMMARIZED PRODUCTION ACTIVITY RESULTS FOR 2017
International Scientific and Technical Conference “Metallurgy: Development Prospects” in roundtable format took place in Balkhash. The purpose is estimation of applied scientific and engineering solutions on extension and modernization of metallurgical plants of Kazakhmys Smelting LLC.
Corporation LLC produced 169,4 thousand tons of copper cathode equivalent within 9 months 2017. These indicator shows increase in compare with the same period of last (2016) year for 6 thousand tons (+3,7%).
In total, six candidates have been chosen to train for a "Project Management Professional" (PMP) certificate program. PMP is the most crucial and recognized industry certificate for project managers around the world.
In 2016 Kazakhmys Corporation LLC produced 225,657 tons of copper in cathode equivalent. This figure exceeded the same period of the last year (2015) by 5,4 thousand tons (+2.5%). The average copper grade in ore at the year-end was 0,95%, that is higher of the average copper grade in 2015 (0,91%) and greater than predicted amount by 1,1%
Collective agreement for 2017-2019 was signed in Kazakhmys. Labor relationship will be governed on the basis of the document between the employer and staff of Kazakhmys enterprises within the next three years. The main feature of the document signed by the management of corporation and leaders of trade unions – is preservation of all social guarantees for person of labor.
Total copper cathode equivalent produced in the first half of 2016 by Kazakhmys Corporation LLC is 111.6 thousand tons. This figure rose by 8.3 thousand tons (+8%) over the corresponding period of the last year.
Kazakhmys Corporation LLC summed up production activity for the I quarter of 2016 In I quarter of 2016 Kazakhmys Corporation LLC produced 55,5 thousand tons of copper in cathode equivalent.
ZIOMAR Engineering Company (a part of the machine-building division of Rosatom-JSC Atomenergomash, Russia) and the Kazakhmys Energy (Kazakhmys Energy, the Republic of Kazakhstan) have signed an agreement for the provision of services related to the modernization of equipment installed at the energy facilities operated by the Kazakhstan company.
For the first time in eight years the plan was completed ahead of schedule at the Nurkazgan Concentrator. 18 369 tons of copper in concentrate were actually produced instead of planned 18 323 tons.
